Captain Sam

Last week improve your snooker academy member Sam McKay, 13, had the honour of not only playing for his country but also being made captain of the Scotland under 16's team for the home internationals in the northern snooker centre in Leeds.

Sam led his equally young team to an excellent 8-4 victory over Belgium and performed admirably in defeats to England, Wales and Ireland.

Jim is delighted with the progress Sam has made in the last year and is looking forward to the new season and the next chapter in Sam's journey.

Keep watching for more updates as the season progresses!
