ALAN BACK ON TOP FORM

Two of improve your snookers best known stars battled it out in the quarter finals of the 2016 World Championship at Sheffield, with Alan McManus beating his friend John Higgins to secure a semi final place.

Alan (45), had a tremendous tournament beating Stephen McGuire and Ali Carter on his way to the quarter finals. Alan continues to work hard on the game he loves and showed the skill and talent that was apparent in the 90's is still there. 

What a tremendous achievement to return to the semi finals of the worlds 23 years after his first semi final appearance here.

 Improve your snooker rising star Rhys Clark successfully booked his place in the China Open following a crushing defeat of Ken Doherty 5-0. Rhys who is now 21 has been with Jim since he was a junior and is now starting to reach his full potential. Rhys will take on another Improve your snooker professional Alan McManus in the Welsh open later this month before heading to China.
